Troubleshooting Guide...
SPOTS OR PATCHES ON LEAVES~if
spots are crisp & brown UNDERWATERING is the reason;if spots are moist & brown then OVERWATERING is the reason. If
spots are white or straw coloured then possible reasons include;WATERING WITH COLD WATER,WATER SPLASHES ON LEAVES,TOO MUCH
SUN,PEST/DISEASE DAMAGE.
LEAVES CURL AND FALL~curling followed by leaf fall is a sign of TOO LITTLE
HEAT,OVERWATERING,or COLD DRAUGHTS.
SUDDEN LEAF FALL~If leaf fall is sudden and there was no discolouration
prior to it then PLANT SHOCK is the most likely reason.Plant shock is caused either by drastic temperature changes or a recent
move, say from the nursery to your living room, and is not adjusting to it.
LEAVES TURN YELLOW AND FALL~It
is normal for the bottom more mature leaves to turn yellow and fall it is just age. However,if several leaves turn yellow at
the same time and fall then OVERWATERING or COLD DRAUGHTS would be the reason.
LEAVES DULL AND LIFELESS~the
normal cause of this is TOO MUCH LIGHT.Another cause could be RED SPIDER MITE. *NOTE;green healthy leaves can get dusty
and grimy so use a clean damp sponge to gently wipe them off.
SMALL PALE LEAVES;SPINDLY GROWTH~this occurs in Winter and early Spring when the
plant has been kept too warm and the compost to wet for the limited amount of light available. If possible, just prune off the
poor growth. If it is the growing season then possible reasons are UNDERFEEDING or TOO LITTLE LIGHT.
HOLES
AND TEARS IN LEAVES~The two possible causes are PHYSICAL DAMAGE by humans or pets,or PEST DAMAGE.

BROWN TIPS Or EDGES On LEAVES~if edges remain green then DRY AIR is the cause.Another
reason could be bruising either from being against a wall or touch by humans or pets. If edges are yellow or brown there
are many possible causes. OVERWATERING,UNDERWATERING,TOO LITTLE LIGHT,TOO MUCH LIGHT,TOO LITTLE OR TOO MUCH HEAT,OVERFEEDING,DRY
AIR or DRAUGHTS. >To pinpoint the cause I recommend you look for other symptoms.
WILTING LEAVES~The
most usual causes are UNDERWATERING or OVERWATERING.Other possible causes are TOO MUCH LIGHT(especially if wilting happens
regularily at midday),DRY AIR,TOO MUCH HEAT,POT BOUND ROOTS,or PEST DAMAGE.
LOWER LEAVES DRY up and FALL~The
three common reasons are TOO LITTLE LIGHT,TOO MUCH HEAT,or UNDERWATERING.
PLANT GROWING SLOWLY Or NOT At ALL~in
winter it is normal for plants to slow down so do not force to grow.In summer the reasons could be UNDERFEEDING,OVERWATERING,or
TOO LITTLE LIGHT. *Note;if these aren't the possible reasons then the plant could be pot bound check to see if roots are
growing out the bottom of the pot.
VARIEGATED LEAVES TURN ALL GREEN~the most likely reason is that
there is TOO LITTLE LIGHT.
ROTTING LEAVES AND STEMS~The reason often lies in OVERWATERING IN WINTER
or LEAVING WATER ON LEAVES AT NIGHT. The growing conditions would be very poor for this to happen.
